How to Apply for a New MEPCO Connection

Getting a new electricity meter in South Punjab is now fully digitized through the official ENC (Electricity New Connection) portal. Follow this structured 2025 guide to apply online, track your status, and pay your demand notice without visiting the MEPCO office.

The 4-Step New Connection Process

The Ministry of Energy limits all DISCOs (including MEPCO) to a standardized digital process. To get your new meter installed efficiently, strictly follow these four visual steps.

Digital ENC Process Workflow

1. Apply Online

Fill out the application form on the official ENC website carefully. Select MEPCO as your company.

2. Submit Documents

Upload scanned copies of property documents, CNIC, and an oath commissioner's affidavit.

3. Demand Notice

MEPCO surveys the site and issues a Demand Notice to be paid at a designated bank.

4. Installation

Submit the paid Demand Notice receipt. MEPCO installs the meter within 30 days.

Documents Required for a New Meter

Before you begin your online application, ensure you have scanned copies of the following documents. Maximum file size per document is generally 300KB (JPG or PDF).

Personal ID

  • Applicant's CNIC (Front and Back)
  • Copy of witnessing neighbor's CNIC (2 witnesses required)

Property Proof

  • Property Registry, Allotment Letter, or Fard
  • In case of a tenant: NOC from owner + Rent Agreement

How to Track Your Application Status

Once you hit submit, the ENC system will generate a unique Tracking ID. Follow these steps to check where your application is in the queue:

  1. Go to the official ENC tracking portal: enc.com.pk (Track section)
  2. Select MEPCO from the DISCO dropdown.
  3. Choose New Connection as the application type.
  4. Enter your Tracking ID or CNIC number and click Check.
  5. The system will display whether your application is pending survey, pending Demand Notice payment, or pending installation.

💡 Pro Tip: Need a duplicate Demand Notice?

If you misplace your Demand Notice, you can reprint it via the ENC portal by using your Tracking ID. You cannot pay it online—it must be paid over the counter at the banks specified on the printout (usually designated NBP or BOP branches).
